As day gives way to night, the Czarnowron – a bird that carries twilight on its wings – soars over fields, forests, and rooftops.
In ancient beliefs, ravens and crows were seen as guardians of secrets, messengers between worlds, and keen observers of human destinies. Their presence evoked both respect and fascination, and their black wings have inspired stories, legends, and folk imagination for centuries.
"Czarnowron" depicts a majestic rook soaring over the Polish landscape. It is an illustration inspired by nature, folklore, and the transition between day and night – a moment when the world slows down, and shadows begin to tell their own stories.
The illustration was created by Natalia Noszczyńska and is part of a collection inspired by Slavic mythology, folklore, and ancient traditions.
